"Elizabeth Bortz was raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii. While she was there, she attended Maui Academy of Performing Arts and studied the Cecchetti Method of Ballet with Virginia Holte. She also did rhythmic gymnastics while living on the island, winning many medals including the State Championship title and 2nd place all around at the Junior Olympic Championships. She has been invited to attend the year round program with American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School and has been invited to summer intensives at American Ballet Theatre in New York, Bolshoi Ballet Academy New York, Joffrey Chicago, and more. Elizabeth attended Youth America Grand Prix Finals last year and was invited to World Ballet Competition Finals last year and the year before. She received a “Platinum” award at NYCDA and was titled “Miss Starlight” at the Starlight Dance Competition last year as well. She is a spokesperson and model for Danse De Paris, Chic Ballet Dancewear, and DanzNMotion. Before attending Master Ballet Academy, Elizabeth was under the tutelage of Olga Pavlova in Dallas, TX. Elizabeth is now with Master Ballet Academy and is a Studio Company Member of The Phoenix Ballet. She is extremely excited for her future there. "
