Keenan was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada and started taking his first dance classes at the age of 8, where he trained in a wide range of styles, from jazz to hip-hop, contemporary, and acro to ballet. Along with dance, he also pursued musical theatre and acting but at the age of 13, he chose to focus solely on Ballet and began his formal pre-professional training.

While training, Keenan participated in the Youth America Grand Prix and was awarded many trophies and full scholarships to prestigious ballet institutes worldwide.

Most recently, Keenan was awarded the Gold Medal in the Junior Men’s category at the YAGP finals in New York City and invited to perform in the Starts of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow Gala at the David Koch Theatre.

Currently, Keenan trains at Bloch Ballet Canada in his hometown of Vancouver and will be joining the Royal Ballet School in 2024/25.
