Ixan began training to be a ballet dancer at the age of 5 under the tutelage of his mother. At the age of 9 enrolled he enrolled at The Fernando Alonso National Ballet School in Havana, Cuba in 2016. In his second year there he participated and competed in the International Meeting Between Academies for Teaching Ballet. He was invited to the Assemble Internacionale 2023 at Canada's National Ballet School and recently competed at YGP México 2023 in which he received scholarships to the Royal Ballet School, Canada's National Ballet School, School of Nashville Ballet.
