Chelsea Thomas started her dance training at the age of 13 at Ivy Hawn Charter School of the Arts and learned the basic techniques of: Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern. She had a passion for dance but was afraid she started too late and would fall behind; but things changed for her when she was under the direction of Amanda Wade Aubry at Nautica Dance Company from 2016-2020. She was able to perform in Rock Opera inspired dance shows such as Jungle Book and Maleficent. From then on, she was committed and attended summer intensives at: RAKR Dance Company, European School of the Arts, and served as President and social media coordinator from 2019-2020.

Chelsea is currently a junior at Jacksonville University getting her BFA in dance. While she is one of their dancers, she is one of their social media coordinators for the dance department’s Instagram. She’s had the opportunity to teach a hip-hop at Ballet Arts Center from 2020-2022, summer intensives at Dynamics Dance, and she is currently teaching the young dancers at Grande Finale Dance Company.

An interesting fact about Chelsea is that she performs as Princess Tiana at children’s birthday parties and cooperate events with two companies in Jacksonville. She also works as a pointe shoe fitter at Make Believe Costumes and Dancewear and runs the social media for their business. Chelsea is ecstatic to join the Nikolay Ambassador team!
